SUPERNOVA Supernova is a versatile pop/rock/covers band consisting of five talented musicians, covering hits from 60’s/70’s/80’s to now. Having all played the Central Coast, Newcastle and Sydney music scene for decades, our five members joined forces in early 2009 to deliver premier live music with the versatility that is perfect for any occasion. Supernova covers band such as Divinyls, Cold Chisel, Bruno Mars, Powder Finger, Kings of Leon, Australian Crawl, Katy Perry, Black Keys and many many more. Karen Shearan – Lead Vocalist. Karen has performed her entire life having sung on radio jingles, TV commercials, session singer and fronting as lead vocalist in many live bands such as, Point Blanc, Sierra Blue, Street Wise, Soul Station, Jezebel and now Supernova. Karen’s unique voice has people wanting to hear more including being invited by Bill Chambers to sing her original songs at Bill’s annual Tamworth event at `The Pub’. Mike Cernoy – Lead guitar/Vocals Mike’s professional and soulful guitar playing along with his heart felt lead solo’s captivates the audience. Combining his vocal harmonies with band members, Dave and Aaron sets Supernova apart from other bands. Mike is well known locally for playing in other bands, Button Mushrooms and Krankn’stein prior to joining Supernova. David Underwood (Krusty) – Keyboard/Vocals What can we say about Dave (Krusty) he is well known on the Coast and has been in too many bands to mention. This 2 time `MO’ award winners keyboard playing and beautiful vocal harmonies blends perfectly, again making Supernova a cut above the rest. Craig Thomlinson – Bass Guitar Craig is an exceptional Bass player whose cool, steady beat is envied by all. Having played in bands such as, Point Blanc, Radio Scream and Stone Fish, Craig is arguably one of the best Bass players you will hear. Joining with our drummer he cements the solid groove that keeps you dancing all night. Aaron Melnyk – Drums/Vocals Aaron is the most exciting drummer on the Coast. He plays with precision and feeling. His power house drumming gets your heart pumping and your blood racing. Together with Craig they are the slick engine room that keeps Supernova rocking and you up dancing all night With our stunning lead vocals, rich harmonies and brilliant musicianship, Supernova will make your event very special and memorable.
