About Jellyfish
Jellyfish are a dynamic rock covers band based on the Central Coast of NSW. Since their inception in 2009 Jellyfish have gigged regularly and have gone on to build up a large following. The band pride themselves on being a professional outfit but still make sure they always have plenty of fun on stage. It's no wonder their popularity continues to grow and grow.

Some of the artists Jellyfish like to cover are Pink, The Divinyls, Powderfinger, The Police, The Black Keys, Cold Chisel, Pat Benetar, The Baby Animals, Doobie Brothers, Dragon, Cindi Lauper, The Darkness and many more. Jodie first held a microphone at the tender age of three, wowing her family audience. From these small beginnings, Jodie has created a professional career in the Entertainment Industry, qualifying with a degree in Performing Arts a Diploma of Drama teaching and TAFE qualification to teach VET Entertainment.

Jodie has performed with professional and amateur theatre companies in sho ws such as Gypsy, West Side Story, Return to the Forbidden Planet, Nunsense, Back to the Eighties, Paris and Funny Girl. Jodie's band career started in early 90's with bands such as 'Big Baby Jam' and 'The A Team'. In mid 2009, Jodie responded to an advertisement in The Drum Media asking for a Lead Vocalist for a Central Coast Band. The band was 'Jellyfish', the rest is history!

John
Nickname: BB
Instrument: Axe
Starsign: Virgo
Favourite Food: Anything Tex Mex

John acquired his first Electric Guitar at the age of nine. Being mostly self taught, John went on to study music throughout his high school years and was influenced from a young age by Blues/Rock/Texas Blues and R’n’B artists such as Hendrix, Clapton, SRV, AC/DC and ZZ Top. John then grew to artists such as Satriani, Vai & Malmsteen.

During the early 90’s John had some intense Guitar tuition under well known mentor 'Harvey Mann'. John has also performed with various artists such as ‘Dave Tice’, ‘Rose Tattoo’ and ‘The Radiators’ and has played with many cover bands over the years such as ‘Rough Diamond’, ‘Led Zeppmen’ (Tribute Show), ‘Gravy Train’, ‘The Roadrunners’ (Blues), 'Supernova’, 'Breakout' and 'Spitfire'. John is now a very important member of ‘Jellyfish’.

Jason
Nickname: JB
Instrument: Bass

Jason first picked up a Bass Guitar in the early 90's after watching numerous local Indie and touring Rock Bands in and around Sydney. Jason is self taught and has been influenced by Craig Bloxom 'Spy v Spy', Sting 'The Police', Peter Gifford 'Midnight Oil', Paul Simonon 'The Clash' and Robert De Leo 'Stone Temple Pilots'. Jason played Bass in original band 'Last Exit' then joined the cover band scene with 'Trunk Monkey' on the Northern Beaches in Sydney.

After moving to the Central Coast, Jason then decided to put together a new band called 'Jellyfish'. The band has gone on to be one of the most popular cover bands around, playing in Sydney, The Central Coast & Newcastle.

Tobias
Nickname: Uncle
Instrument: Drums and Backing Vox
Starsign: Cancer
Favourite Food: Beer
Best Concert: Queen 1985, The Works Tour
Favourite Holiday Destination: Arosa, Switzerland

Tobias spent most of his musical life in the 90's recording and touring around Australia in original bands like 'The Camels', 'Nuisance', 'Ask Eddy' and 'Mudlark'. Tobias then settled in Sydney and played the covers circuit with 'Pyjama Party' and 'The Party Pigs'.

Since moving to the Central Coast, Tobias now spends most of his energy laying the beats and providing some fantastic harmonies for 'Jellyfish'.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jellyfish for an outstanding performance at our New Years Eve Celebrations at The Entrance. The performance was of a very high standard with popular songs that engaged the crowd and induced participation from the young to the young at heart. Even the threat of ominous weather did not deter the crowds of families, holiday makers and locals from gathering in their thousands to enjoy the New Years Eve Celebrations at The Entrance with our biggest crowd ever of an estimated 20,000+ visitors in our seaside town.
