MIDNIGHT DRIFTERS MUSIC Presents The Midnight Drifters Band
A very popular Sydney based band, MIDNIGHT DRIFTERS generate energy and excitement wherever they perform.
The current line-up of this dynamic band is Chris Anthony – Lead/Backing Vocals and Rhythm Guitar, Michael Bak – Lead Guitar/Vocals & Backing Vocals, Greg Townend – Double Bass/Bass Guitar/ Vocals & Backing Vocals and John Fitz – Drums/Backing Vocals.
Each member of this hard working 4 piece band have well over thirty years’ experience in the music industry and have performed in a wide variety of bands across NSW and interstate.
The band is based in Sydney and is currently “hot” on the 50’ and 60’ rock and roll circuit. Dancers enjoy music from artist such as Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson, Shaken Stevens, Carl Perkins, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Chuck Berry, The Mavericks, Bill Haley, to mention a few.
Instrumentals from the Shadows and Duane Eddy are also amongst the bands repertoire.
The Midnight Drifters keep in the spirit of the 50’ and 60’ era playing your favourite mix of Rock n Roll, Swing, Rockabilly and Country Rock, with a splash of well-presented ballads, to make any event a memorable one.
The band performs at venues from Coolangatta, QLD (Wintersun 2010) the North Coast of NSW, down through Newcastle, The Central Coast, Sydney, Wollongong to Rockabilly and Rock ‘n’ Roll Festivals in Victoria.
Regular venues Include : C.Ex Coffs Harbour, Kempsey RSL, Ettalong Bowling Club, Kiama Leagues Club, Nelson Bay Bowling Club, Goulburn Soldiers Club, Collegians’ Club Balgownie, Katoomba RSL, West Illawarra Leagues, Belmont 16’s, Wyong RSL, Blacktown RSL, Eastern Suburbs Leagues Club, Cowra Services, Dubbo Rsl, Grenfell Country Club, Orange Ex Services Club, the list goes on.
This popular, very well presented band is dedicated to keeping in the spirit of the 50’s and 60’s era. They can also add other musicians and special stage lighting for large corporate events.
They are booked by 8 agencies and also enjoy direct relationships with many clubs, dance schools and other organization.
