Whats On Central Coast Logo image PEATS RIDGE 2012 3rd LINEUP ANOUNCEMENT!:
Posted December 8 2012

With the Festival fast approaching we thought it was about time to drop our third and final musical artist release, and boy it's a humdinger. As well as that we've got some top news on the beer front with Coopers on tap across all our high dispense bars at the Festival!

With over 90 acts joining you this New Years, we've stuck to our commitment of not only bringing you the top shelf of well known acts but also the Cream of Australia's up and coming talent. As well as this we're also releasing the full lineup for the Dub Shack and Pirates Lair.

Festival Director, Matt Grant says there’s a whole smorgasbord of great acts for patrons to keep a watchful eye on. “If you’ve never seen a full brass band dropping hip-hop beats then make sure you check out the Hi-Tops Brass Band. I’d also urge everyone to check out the heavy rhythms of Svelt, nothing sets a mood like a bit of jungle dub hip-hop, these boys first played Peats several years back as a renegade act on Biffo’s Blow Up Bonanza and they’ve been a favourite of mine ever since”.

Whats On Central Coast Logo image PEATS RIDGE 2012 MASSIVE ARTS ANOUNCEMENT!:
Posted November 29 2012

The past few weeks have been super colourful in the Peats office, we've been working day and night to finalise our massive arts lineup. In 2012, we are proud to bring you our biggest Arts lineup to date, combining your favourites whilst adding some amazing new arts features to this years roster. Here’s some more reasons to skip the long lines to bars and clubs this New Years Eve.
If you like your art edgy and interactive its a must to check out the The Night Odditorium! Brought to you by The Pork Collective, The Night Odditorium is a curatorial project that leaves space for individual creative responses and collaboration. A twisted neo-carny festival in itself, The Night Odditorium puts elements of the sideshow genre through a bent filter to create immersive theatrical worlds where both the audience and the performers are given permission to act and think differently.

Whats On Central Coast Logo image PEATS RIDGE JUST GOT A LITTLE BIT BIGGER, BETTER & MUCH LOUDER:
Posted November 3 2012

November is the month to get EXCITED about Peats Ridge Festival!! With our huge second line-up announcement, Peats is coming back in 2012 better than ever. There's something for everyone's taste - reaching from every corner of the music industry to bring you a bucketload of amazing artists to enter 2013 with.

Bands dropping their worldly beats include Tijuana Cartel, with their authentic Afro-Cuban sound and Byron Bay's Wild Marmalade who will demand attention with a blend of indigenous and Middle Eastern dance. Adding their ecclectic sound to the mix are Young Magic, an alternative hip-hop group based in New York, who we're excited to have join the Peats Ridge line-up.

Joining us from the world of indie, rock and pop are Winter People, Hey Geronimo, Tin Sparrow, Half Moon Run, Enola Fall and The Griswolds. For you party people who prefer a strong techno-beat, we have DJ Luke Slater joining us all the way from the UK, electronic/dub legend Gaudi(UK/Italy) as well as Theo Parrish (US) who will be mixing up his fusion of electronic soul and classic dance hits.

Festival Director, Matt Grant says, "This is a wicked addition to our line-up, I'm completely excited about by the diversity and quality of what we've pulled together...Peats isn't just about music, it's about the BEST music."

Posted August 31 2012

Hope all is well in your world - we've been loving the blue skies and warm sun of late, feels like we can nearly touch summer and that means one thing, Peats Ridge is not too far away!
We've been receiving plenty of love since the release of the lineup and great ticket sales - thanks to all of you out there for the support.

For those of you who are finding it harder to get together the $$ for your ticket in one go, we have brought back by popular demand the Peats Ridge ticket layby system, this lets you spread your payments for a ticket to Peats over a few months!!

This year, for the first time, Lay-by is available for all ticket types and registrations for the lay-by system are open from today (30th of August) until the 14th of October.
How it works;
1. On registering for Lay-by an initial charge is taken, this includes all fees and charges
2. Three equal payments are then automatically deducted from your credit card in the months leading up to the Festival (see the table for the payment schedule)
3. When the third instalment is approved you will receive your ticket to Peats Ridge Festival.

Visit the layby tickets page on the PEATS RIDGE WEBSITE

The latest from the Peats Ridge festival organisers:
Things are hotting up over here at Peats HQ. Yesterday we announced the first instalment of our lineup for 2012 and the reaction has been off the hook!
We are super excited about a selection of artists that is eclectic and unexpected and it seems we are not the only ones!

We've had some fantastic reviews and comments, more of that later, but for now let's have a look at some of those artists. The band you've all been waiting for, the John Butler Trio, will be headlining the coveted NYE Midnight Set.

Triple J caught up with JB yesterday during a special about Peats Ridge on the Drive Time show with The Doctor to hear his thoughts and he was stoked! "We can't wait to finally get to play at Peats Ridge as part of what's looking like a great line up." he said.
Festival Director, Matt Grant said. "We're over the moon to have John join us at Peats, he's by far the most requested artist from our audience and energetically and musically he is the perfect fit for the vibe of the Festival. To have him count in New Years for us is going to be wicked!"

It's a date that has been a long time coming, so by the time John takes to the stage you can bet the atmosphere at the Festival will be utterly electric!
