REWIND DUO :
Rewind is a duo comprised of two professional Central Coast musicians: Margaret Rew on vocals, guitar and harmonica, accompanied by guitarist Gregory John Olsen. Rewind are two passionate musicians performing pure, real music, without backing tracks.

A treat for your ears – covers as you've never heard them !

Rewind perform a mixture of genres - covers of songs from current popular musicians such as Keb Mo, The Waifs, Adele, Amy Winehouse, and rewinding through the years to include many well-loved numbers from Steely Dan, Van Morrison, Jefferson Airplane, Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell, and still further rewinding back to the Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Nat King Cole and Mama Cass era.

The varied selection enables Rewind to tailor their performance to the audience attending, whether they be an older crowd enjoying the Jazz/Swing numbers, or a younger crowd wanting more upbeat, rhythmic music.

A well-rehearsed, classy act, perfect for Sunday afternoons, or over dinner in restaurants, Rewind will play to your requirements with pleasure.

Margaret Rew: Vocals, Guitar & Harmonica
Margaret been playing music since the age of 6, beginning with violin lessons along with her three brothers. Margaret is an extremely accomplished rhythm guitarist, also capable of ripping out some riffs on harmonica for a few numbers.

Margaret's undoubted gift is her voice. Sweet and silky, or husky and raw, from jazz to country, blues to rock, swing to rockabilly, Margaret's vocals hit that magic spot.
“I love that we can play something pretty much for everyone, depending on the age and taste of those watching as to what genre we slip into”.

Margaret has performed on the Central Coast for many years. Currently she is a member of the popular four piece band The Rewbies, who play regular gigs around the local venues – (her daughter Ellie is the bass player ). Margaret was also a founding member of the well loved Liss'n Sweetie duo and band, who performed for over twenty years in Sydney and on the Central Coast. Little by Little, Hardly Jazz and Swingshot are amongst previous lineups, and Margaret has played for Brian and Jo Lizotte many times over the years, including support acts at Kincumber Lizottes.

Gregory John Olsen: Guitar & Ukulele
Greg contributes a level of musicianship that is indeed rare. As a professional guitar teacher for over 40 years, Greg has exacted a meticulous approach to guitar playing that perfectly compliments Margaret's performance.

Influenced by the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, George Benson, and everything in between and beyond, Greg's guitar playing is truly an aural treat! Having performed with some well known Australian artists, such as Stevie Wright and Jeannie Lewis, Greg is well equipped to deliver a memorable musical experience.
