THE REVIEW - SINCLAIR AND SAMPSON
Sinclair and Sampson- whats on central coast image SINCLAIR AND SAMPSON;
Terrigal Memorial Country Club;15-05-06
Keeping the folks entertained in between sets for award winning poet Dave Proust tonight were the long time friends duo of Sinclair and Sampson.

Now this lil reporter did say that Two up were the support act for tonight but alas this was not the case. My most sincere apologies to all concerned for my presumption.

Ron Sinclair has teamed up with long time friend Steve Sampson (Finn Macool) on a few occasions now, one that has been etched indelibly in my memory, was at the Bateau Bay Hotel (click here for the review) in April 2006 for the Phil King send off. This was my first introduction to Steve Sampson and it was a great gig with a full stage of entertainers for the whole evening.

On stage alone together tonight, Sinclair and Sampson showed the synchronicity and rapport of a duo that has played together for many, many years.

The attentive and appreciative audience just loved the talented versatility of these two gentleman. 'Rocky Racoon' was a visible memory trigger for so many while 'Heart Of Gold' and Alex Lloyd's 'Amazing Things' showed just how entertainingly diverse the set list can be.

I hope we are allowed another chance to catch Sinclair and Sampson. I for one will be more than happy (to see an entire show next time) to grab front row seats.

If I hear of another local gig I will pop it in the heads up section on the front page and of course the gig guides so you all don't miss out either.
