The Assassins imageWhats On Central Coast Logo Button imageTHE ASSASSINS:
After many years of playing individually on a professional level, these three talented musicians have decided to join forces and create the type of band they’d all like to belong to…Rockin’ Fun.

Each member has miles of experience behind them, & each one has supported some of Australia’s greatest musical talent, including Mark Seymour, Jimmy Barnes, Glen Shorrock & The Choirboys.

The decision to come together happened quite by accident.

“There was one night when we were all free, a last minute gig came through, I put out a call for some players, & Evan Kill (Killer) & Phil King (KingRhythm) turned up to play” recalls LoneWolf (Lawrence Baker).

“Once we started playing the first few songs, it became evident that we were doing something really special. We all felt it immediately, & the audience went crazy! It wasn’t a gig, it was a performance, a show. It felt brilliant, & none of us wanted to stop playing that night.”

As a result, The Assassins were born.

The music is a mix of great contemporary rock originals & a selection of different “haven’t heard this song for ages” covers, all delivered with powerful vocals, sweet harmonies & driving rhythms.

So far, their audiences have given this new band the vote of approval, & all the venues have rebooked them after their first gigs there. Something’s obviously going right.

Every now & again an artist bursts onto the Australian music scene that makes people stand up & take notice. The Assassins are three of those artists in one band, & their energy together must be seen to be believed.

Their next show on the Central Coast is at the Bateau Bay Hotel on Sunday, July 21st, where they hit the stage at 2pm.

Come on down & see what all the fuss is about….they might just make a believer out of you..
