The Central Coast has been given the chance to participate in the ever popular "Battle of The Bands". These events, so far, have only been held in Sydney and more recently Newcastle.
The crowd from PBJ Entertainment have been organising these gigs throughout Sydney and Newcastle to launch and showcase local talent.
Our thanks to The Beachcomber Hotel for hosting this great night and supporting our local musicians.
The start time is 5.30 pm and all going well the fat lady will sing just after midnight.

What's On staff would like to congratulate OWENELL for taking out the prize in Thursday nights battle.
A deserved win by all means. The power and the passion (thanks Peter) of this young band is mesmerising and exhilarating.
They are tight, energetic and exceptionally talented.
The soulful, sincere, idealistic words penned by singer /songwriter, Michael Peter, were surprising in their wisdom and values from one having spent so little time on this planet. His performance of the songs add credence and passion to his words. He was well supported by the equally energetic Mark Stockwell on bass, Matt Goodwin on lead guitar and the binding drumming of Jeff Doukakis. They have the ability to come together as one unit once they start playing. Once they have your attention, you aint getting it back until they are done with you.
The boys have been making quite a name for themselves of late and that name can only get bigger.
What's On wishes the band every success for the future.
If they keep up at this rate, they wont need our wishes.
Special mention must go to 'Ask Bob' who were in no way outclassed, but of a completely different genre to the other contestants. The judges must have had a difficult task making their final verdict.
A different venue and who knows what would have been.....
Congratulations also to Pauline and Todd from PBJ for a well organised event and of course, the Beachcomber hotel for hosting the event. |
